Sudbury Eye Care is teaming up with First Connections to provide free vision screenings for children. The screenings will take place at Emerson Hospital on May 12, 2011 from 9-11:30 AM.
Vision screenings provide a quick assessment of your child’s vision. They are important to your child’s health, because when children have trouble seeing it can affect their development, learning, and performance in sports and other physical activities.
Please note that there is a difference between a vision screening and a comprehensive eye exam. In screenings, we quickly check how well your child can see. In an eye exam, we provide a thorough medical examination to screen for any medical issues or health risks. We still recommend that you and your child have comprehensive eye exams at certain ages as recommended by the American Optometric Association, because many health issues can be identified early through a comprehensive eye exam.
Space for the free vision screenings is limited. To schedule a screening, please contact First Connections at 978-287-0221 or email@example.com. For more information, see the First Connections Spring Newsletter http://www.firstconnections.org/uploadDocs/spring2011newsl_1.pdf.
